Hello and Welcome to ccCounty.org.
Our Purpose is to Glorify God by making disciples who will Impact every area of the world for Christ. We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission throughout Contra Costa County, California, the United States of America and the World. Our primary mission is to share the Word of God and Love of Christ with non-believing brothers and sisters in a lost and dying world. What is the Great Commission? The Great Commission is given in Matthew chapter 28, verses 19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Jesus gave this Great Commission to the Apostles shortly before He ascended into Heaven. The Great Commission essentially gives what Jesus expected the Apostles, and those who followed them, to do. In the original Greek, it is interesting that the only specific commands in Matthew 28:19-20 are "go," and "make disciples." The Great Commission instructs us that while we are going throughout the world, while we are going about our daily activities - we are to make disciples. How are we to make disciples? By baptizing them and teach them all that Jesus commanded. "Go," and "make disciples" are the commands of the Great Commission. "Baptizing" and "teaching" are the means by which we fulfill the "making disciples" aspect of the Great Commission. Many understand Acts 1:8 as part of the Great Commission as well, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." The Great Commission is enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are to be Christ's witnesses, fulfilling the Great Commission, in our cities (Jerusalem), in our states and countries (Judea and Samaria), and anywhere else God sends us (to the ends of the earth). Message from the Founder Thank you for visiting our web site today! It is our sincere hope and prayer that each visitor will be blessed by the information provided within these pages of love and truth. Whether you are a non-believer or skeptic, new believer or seasoned Christian, there’s something here for everyone. All are welcome and encouraged to learn more about God, His Word (the Bible) and His open invitation and promise of eternal life in heaven through the blood of Jesus Christ. We welcome any questions, comments, or suggestions you may have. May God continue to bless you richly as you study His Word. Love in Christ, Paul Nadon Founder & President ccCounty Great Commission |
